Advanced Alternative Payment Models (APMs) are one of two new payment paths to determine Medicare Part B payment adjustments. This path is for providers who go the furthest in delivering high-quality, coordinated, and efficient care. You must bill more than $30,000 in Medicare and have more than 100 Medicare patients.
Clinicians who meet the criteria for APM incentive payments do not receive a payment adjustment under the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and instead receive a 5% Medicare Part B incentive payment.
The 2017 list of models that qualify as Advanced APMs and may benefit from the use of CHADIS include:
Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+)
ACOs - Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for Clinical Depression and Follow-up Plan
ACO-18 (PREV-12) Depression Screening: CHADIS provides access to many depression screens: PRIME MD PHQ (adult depression), Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ) .
ACO – 40 Depression Remission at Twelve Months: PRIME MD PHQ (adult depression), Mood Disorder Questionnaire
