MACRA & CMS
MACRA and CMS aim at making Medicare better by helping you focus on care quality and making patients healthier.
MACRA and CMS have identified key considerations for implementing the Measure Development Plan (MDP), including and not limited to:
- The use of certified EHR technologies which:
-
reduces data collection and reporting burdens
-
support more timely performance feedback to clinicians than is possible through traditional claims or paper submission mechanisms
- Partnering with patients, caregivers, and communities
- Streamlining data acquisition for measure testing
- Developing patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs)
- Incorporating patient preferences and shared decision-making
- Assessing team-based care (e.g., timely exchange of clinical information)
- Promoting shared accountability across settings and clinicians
How does CHADIS help?
Quality Monitoring and Collaboration
CHADIS can produce quality monitoring reports and registries for internal use by practices and providers. All reports are securely delivered on a scheduled basis, with CHADIS account management offering suggestions to support quality improvement. Reports can be used to support standards for compliance with PCMH and other programs. CHADIS also provides overall activity reports to help support all aspects of implementation and ensure that practices derive maximum value from using CHADIS.
Through pre-visit online data collection, "Moment of Care" decision support, and post-visit patient engagement and education, CHADIS:
-
reduces data collection and reporting burdens
-
supports more timely performance feedback to clinicians than is possible through traditional claims or paper submission mechanisms
-
streamlines data acquisition for measure testing
-
partners with patients, caregivers, and communities
-
incorporates patient preferences and shared decision-making
-
promotes shared accountability across settings and clinicians
Prior to the visit, patients complete online questionnaires that are automatically
assigned appropriately for the type of the planned visit and the patients’ age.
